While videos, computer simulations or other forms of electronic display may be useful supplements to the physical presence of hardware—electronic displays alone do not qualify as the required physical presence of hardware.

A product, hardware, software or service exhibited on the show floor deemed innovative and compelling for the majority of PRINT 09 attendees.
Products exhibited at PRINT 09 that demonstrate continuing, compelling acceptance by the marketplace, preferably with improved performance since their Must See ‘ems selection in 2008. Encore candidates may not be entered in other categories. A separate nomination form will be sent to companies with products that qualify for “encore” consideration.
A product, hardware, software or service exhibited at PRINT 09 deemed compelling for print providers in specific market segments or niche markets, but not for a majority of attendees OR qualifying products that are broadly important but somewhat less compelling than a Must See ‘em.
A category for the demonstration of technologies, methods, techniques or concepts still under development and not yet available in products for sale, that have the promise of impacting print production and the print business. (Orders are not being accepted for products in this category.)
Must See ‘ems nominations under non-disclosure are discouraged, but possible for a limited number of special case circumstances.
